We’re Kyle and Aleena, a husband-and-wife team and lifelong pet lovers who built Barkley’s Pets with our own pups in mind! We know how much peace of mind it brings to find someone who truly gets it—someone who takes the time, remembers the quirks, and treats your dog with the same care we’d want for our own.

 

If you’ve ever planned your whole day around your dog’s walk or left a note just to make sure the door is locked in the right way, you’re our kind of person!

A Note from Kyle

 

Hi, I’m Kyle! Co-owner of Barkley’s and your neighborhood dog walker.

​

I’ve lived all over the South and North Shores, but Boston has always felt like home. After settling in West Roxbury, I felt more connected than ever to this corner of the city—especially Roslindale and JP—and knew I wanted to give back in a way that felt meaningful.

​

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking so many amazing dogs across these neighborhoods. Big dogs, little dogs, mellow ones, and those still figuring things out. No matter the personality, my approach stays the same: show up, be patient, stay consistent, and build trust one walk at a time.

​

Aleena and I started Barkley’s to offer dependable, kind, and honest pet care from people who live right here—and really care.

When I’m not out walking dogs, you’ll usually find me in the Arboretum with our own pups, sipping coffee over a chess game, or shooting hoops at Fallon.
